My name is Matt Szaszko and I help build products customers love!

Hi there and welcome to my website! Let me start by addressing what I think your main concern might be. Why do I want to work as a UX/UI Designer after having a successful career in Product Management? Would I have the skills to excel in a Design role? Let me put it this way: I have always loved design and user experience, it is why I studied psychology, to understand people’s behavior.

All throughout my PM career I was heavily involved with UX research and design as well as UI design as I mostly worked at smaller companies where I had to wear these hats. And I’m glad I did! I like this field so much that I want to work full time in it going forward! Working in Product did give me some great advantages. I understand and speak the language of the business and can do my work not only to follow an “ideal” design process, but to make pragmatic choices to help the business succeed.

I have led cross functional teams and achieved tangible business outcomes and I’m looking to contribute and have just as much of an impact in a Design role. Below you can find my experiences highlighted from my past roles that relate to UX/UI Design!
